A New Chapter for Jerry's Boat with the PARSUN F130
It was time to repower my boat with a new outboard from a 35 year old 2 stroke motor.
I needed something more reliable and fuel efficient, but at the same time, the needed something affordable. I've been around and have worked on outboards most of my life. Over 45 years to be exact.
All of the major and popular brand outboards that most people buy have gotten way out of hand price wise. After lots of research, I ran across Parsun outboards. From my research, I found that this company had been in business for many years and are sold all over the world.
Everything I've read about Parsun was good and most of all reliable and economical. After contacting someone with Parsun outboard on prices, I was amazed by the cost savings. I ended up going with the F130 EFI 4 stroke.
Once I receive my new motor, I installed it on my boat. I was surprised that everything was included to install the outboard including a stainless steel prop. All I needed to buy is the oil. On the first startup I was surprised how quiet it was compared to the old 2 stroke I had.
On my first trip with the motor, I noticed how quick it started up. No waiting for it to warm up like the old motors I've owned before. Boat got on plane quick as well and ran so smoothly. I've taken the boat out for 5 trips so far. My boat has a 38 gallon fuel tank and so far I've burned less than half a tank of gas. My old motor would have burned that much in one trip.
Buying the Parsons F130 is one of the best decisions I've made. Saved me a lot of money from buying the other brands available plus the savings on fuel cost. The Parsun F130 didn't disappoint me.
