From December 25–28, 2025, twenty of China’s leading bass anglers gathered at the Suzhou Sequoia International Lure Fishing Base for the inaugural SHIMANO BASS RACE, a new addition to the SHIMANO CUP tournament series.
Unlike a traditional open-entry event, the BASS RACE was built around invitation-only competition. SHIMANO selected twenty accomplished anglers from across China’s lure-fishing community, bringing together tournament champions, top-ranked competitors and influential figures who have helped shape the growth of bass fishing in the country.
The concept was simple: remove distractions and create an environment where the outcome comes down to preparation, decision-making and execution on the water.
